Hello. I am an author in the beautiful state of Maine. My favorite genres are YA (young adult), dystopian science fiction, and fantasy. My stories have a romance subplot because I love the added tension and complex relationships. I craft strong female characters who'd rather teach themselves than be taught.
Thomasina Bloom is a pen name. The inspiration for Fly the Wild Sky was my own flying dreams. In college, I studied biochemistry and literature -- a potent combination.
As a voracious book reader, I hope my own readers will say, "I could not put it down." When I'm not writing (or reading), I'm taking care of my family, drinking coffee, working a day job, feeding my chickens, and rubbing my black lab's belly. My favorite bird is the chickadee, but I also love owls, crows, and other things that fly, especially dragonflies.
Like Sparrow Harper, I'm jumping off a cliff, publishing my own dystopian novel. Please sign up below to join the flock. I am thrilled you're here!
